According to their name, plastic refractories have a plastic behavior with a high flexibility and formability that can be formed and shaped as intended. To install plastic refractories, a hammer or a pneumatic rammer is needed; but sometimes they’re applied by hand, too. These products are produced in two forms of heat-setting and chemical-bonded. It should be mentioned that one of their common applications, because of their plastic form, is for furnaces refractory repairs (as a patching mix).
Plastic refractories have unique properties, naturally; for instance, they have a high resistance against thermal shocks.
At the present time, our only plastic refractory product is BEHIN PLAST 50. You can study its technical data sheet by clicking the following link. You should notice that our R&D team is making its efforts to add new plastic refractory products to our list and it will happen soon.
